Molasses Based: A palatable phosphorus supplement containing 10% urea, 6% phosphorus and 8.5% calcium. Suitable for livestock in phosphorus deficient country. MEGAPHOS PLUS 10% UREA On abundant, high-quality feed, rapidly growing calves and lactating cattle have the greatest requirement for phosphorus, while dry stock on survival rations have the least. Cattle and sheep can compensate for short periods of low dietary phosphorus by mobilising it from their bones. Olsson’s Megaphos is a molasses-based block containing available phosphorus, with 10% urea included for additional protein. Warning: Products containing urea can be toxic to livestock. Norman Olsson had left the family ice business and bought a salt press to make salt blocks for sheep during the drought of the late 1940's. The first Olsson's Calcium Molasses pressed salt block was made in 1949- it was the forerunner of all multi-nutrient blocks made in Australia. Today we are Australia's most innovative ruminant supplement manufacturer in block form, manufacturing 20, 40, 100 and even 1000kg blocks. Every year, Olsson’s sponsor hundreds of free ruminant nutrition seminars all over Australia for the purpose of educating the grazier in better livestock nutrition.
