On abundant, high-quality feed, rapidly growing calves and lactating cattle have the greatest requirement for phosphorus, while dry stock on survival rations have the least. Cattle and sheep can compensate for short periods of low dietary phosphorus by mobilising it from their bones.

Olsson’s Megaphos is a molasses-based block containing available phosphorus, with 10% urea included for additional protein.
